We would like to invite your unit to participate in the 2010 Carroll District Klondike Derby. "Centennial Klondike: 100 Years of Gold" will take place January 22-24, at Freedom Park in Sykesville. Most competitions take place on the 23rd, but Webelos, Boy Scouts, and Venturers are invited to camp Friday and/or Saturday nights as well.

Celebrate Scouting's 100th anniversary with us by participating in the 2010 Carroll District Klondike Derby.  Cubs and Boy Scouts will have different station areas to explore. Venturers are invited to join us in the Boy Scout competition.

For older youth (13 and up), we also have a High Adventure course which is a multi-part event with competition beginning on FRIDAY EVENING.

New this year! There will be a mandated break time mid-day on the Boy Scout side. During this time, we will be running a bigger, even more exciting sled race than last year. If you haven't experienced Roger's Sled Race yet, you're in for a major piece of excitement!

As always, we ask units to register to help with stations. If you have an idea for a station, please contact the appropriate area chair listed below. If you have manpower but need an idea, let us know - we've got a long list of possible station ideas! There will be a competition for stations best reflecting this year's Klondike theme - watch for details!

Also, this year we are requiring that each unit provide two adults for two hours each to help with parking and inspection. Please remember to fill out your preferred time slots on the registration form - we will do our best to meet these requests.
